GeoShell Command Line Switches

With the introduction of WinShellEx in the most recent versions, you shouldn't have to use "-noauto" anymore. WinShellEx should be able to detect if the start up items have been run already. – Also, Quick Recycle has been known to act a little funny on some systems.

GeoShell has several command line parameters which can be used to alter its behaviour . You can put any of these on your command line in your shell settings, and most of them are valid in combination (use common sense! For instance, don't bother trying -shutdown and -recycle).

A suggested use is to make files with these parameters as the name: For instance, make a file with no extension and name it "-noauto" ... or make a batch file and name it "-noauto .bat" (notice the space) ... you can then drag and drop one or more of these files onto geoshell.exe in your file manager instead of dealing with the command line ... And of course, if you did it with batch files, you could put the command in there like "geoshell.exe -noauto" and just run them.
